Chevrolet ‘A-Team’ VanNostalgic of the 80’s will be happy to know that Worldwide Auctioneers will auction off one of the vans from The A-Team, the most famous mercenary team on the small screen.The Van is one of the TVs most recognizable vehicles, 1 of only 6 vans officially licensed by Universal Studios in Hollywood, used from 1983 to 1987 for shows and promotional tours in the United States and Canada.
Every detail you’ve seen from the TV series has been preserved, including the black, silver and orange exterior, white leather seats next to a gun wall and even a machine gun mounted on the back.To honor the history of the A-Team, proceeds from the auction will also go to the J. Kruse Education Center, an organization that provides career pathways for students and veterans in transition.
Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SVOne year after the launch of the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Coupe, the British automaker has unveiled the new Vision Gran Turismo SV, the electric racing car created exclusively for Gran Turismo, the popular driving simulator published by Sony.
It is a car designed and conceived exclusively for racing, the result of a long process of improvement and evolution carried out between Jaguar Racing engineers, those of the SV (Special Vehicles) division and gamers, who will have to wait until the dawn of 2021 before they can get behind the wheel (virtual) car, when it will be available in the game. Its design, as well as the transmission are designed for racing in a futuristic key, so much so that within the game is included in the Vision category, along with those of other manufacturers. A 1:1 scale model of the Vision Gran Turismo SV has also been created and used to implement the design. The interior is extremely minimalist to optimize space management without affecting the overall mass. The seats are upholstered in Typefibre fabric, previously tested on the I Type 5 in Formula E, which is stronger but also lighter than leather.
The Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV was created with the intention of demonstrating what a sports car could look like that doesn’t have to meet the normal limitations imposed by automotive design, while retaining numerous references to the most successful racing models such as the C-Type and D-Type.
Solaseed Air e l’aereo PokémonWe close out this month’s best of with a…plane. Not a private plane with crazy options and an ultra-luxury interior, but a simple airliner. Japanese airline Solaseed Air, after electing its regional mascot Pokémon Exeggutor, chosen for its resemblance to its prefect tree, the phoenix palm, recently unveiled a special Pokémon-themed plane made to fly the Miyazaki-Tokyo route.
On Saturday, December 19 at 10:05 a.m., the Exeggutor plane took its first flight, decorated with graphics of the Exeggutor pocket monster of type Grass/Psychic/Dragon in both standard and elongated Alolan shapes. But the seats are also decorated with dedicated patterns and an Exeggutor-printed headrest. Each passenger also received a limited commemorative certificate and a set of gadgets prepared for the occasion.On the other hand, Pokémon is a worldwide brand that counts on a huge fanbase spread all over the world, but nowhere else is the hype of the franchise as high as in Japan, so don’t be surprised if there is now also a Pokémon airplane.
