Garage Italia and Hot Lab Yacht Design bring automotive and yacht design into the same conversation, reimagining the Spiaggina as a yacht toy conceived to become part of life on board. Inside, a Nardi Classic wooden steering wheel continues the vintage boat aesthetic, joined by marine-grade blue and white flooring by Italdek and side ropes inspired by traditional sailor’s knots. The collaboration also extends into material research with “Scia”, a new outdoor fabric designed by Garage Italia and produced by Mariaflora. Its pattern takes inspiration from the wake of a boat moving through water, bringing a distinctive nautical language to the project and extending the research beyond the vehicle itself. A collection of references, materials and details shaped by Italian design and craftsmanship: creating a Spiaggina designed to feel equally at home on the road and by the sea.
Rooted in Milan and united by a passion for bespoke design, the two studios share an approach where identity is built through proportion, materials and an obsession with the smallest details. For this exclusive configuration, Garage Italia translated the codes of vintage Italian boats into a new interpretation of the Spiaggina. The bodywork is visually “split” along the waterline, echoing the meeting point between hull and sea, while the Heritage wooden Tunnel draws inspiration from classic speedboats. Integrated magazine slots and an optional bottle holder bring a functional dimension to the nautical references.
