Maserati FuoriSerie Corse

CORSE is for the lovers of timeless style, gentlemen drivers, and loyal connoisseurs of the brand and its history. For lovers of speed and racing.
In this collection, the inspiration originates from the past, from the racing heritage.
The key ingredients are colour and material, inspired by the car body craftsmanship of the Officine Alfieri Maserati workshops, and the reinterpretation of colours from the Brand’s past. Also central are the liveries, which reference historic cars and racing (Le Mans, Birdcage Tipo 61) but reinterpreted with the use of the most experimental, combined or fluo paints for parts of the bodywork, with a clear final coat. Another racing detail, but this time subtle and sophisticated, are the dreamlines, strokes of colour that pick out the body’s forms.
To convey high performance and a sporty character, the wheels are in special dual tone colours, with new, two-tone motifs; simpler to evoke the racing world, or with a more heritage look. The range of brake caliper colours is also extended to include the paintwork shades, coloured anodised treatments, and more eye-catching, luxurious finishes such as the polished option.Innovations for the interior include new, more heritage leather colours inspired by vegetable tanned leather, and contemporary upholsteries, recalling the traditional combed melange wool.
Ghibli Trofeo CORSE. In this one-off, born from the joint creativity of the Centro Stile Maserati and Garage Italia, colour becomes substance and is transformed into a celebration of the historic Officine Alfieri Maserati. It conveys the spirit of the times when a chassis was built by hand. And to represent this ethos, the Ghibli Trofeo Corse one-off is in a brushed “Officine Aluminium” colour with two red stripes of Rosso Fluo running along its entire length, the motif found on Maserati racers, evoking in particular the cars that competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The car has a metallurgic painted finish on both the metal and the plastic parts to give the look of bare steel, almost a chassis under construction, with two glossy painted fluo red stripes. As in the other two cars in the series, the front grille is completely new, in a metal mesh of obvious vintage inspiration. The brushed bare aluminium effect of the finish used on the Trident badge recalls the traditional badges, which used to be forged from solid metal. The sporty spirit of the external paintwork is continued in the cabin, with a graphic effect generated on the Alcantara through state-of-the-art inkjet printing. The centrality of the driver is highlighted, and his seat is in a different colour from those of the passengers. The chosen material is a leather inspired by Nappa leather, historically used when constructing the finest seats for vintage F1 drivers, a special material that gave drivers excellent adherence to their seats, so they were virtually welded to the car. The central part of the seats, instrument cluster and armrests is in a high-quality semi-aniline leather with a high-tech embossed carbon-fibre look surface treatment. The seats are completed by eye-holes which give a vintage look. Finally, the dashboard is covered with the same semianiline with embossed carbon look treatment, black Alcantara with red contrast stitching. Satin-finish titanium details and the tricolor stitched under the clock and on the gear knob.
